The Role:
As a Science Technician, you will support the delivery of the science curriculum across the school by providing practical day-to-day support in the learning environment and to ensure that the classrooms and display boards are up to date. You will prepare teaching materials as required to ensure effective support for teaching staff in the science department.
Responsibilities:
It will be your responsibility to repair, maintain and store equipment in order to guarantee safe and effective upkeep. You will be responsible for monitoring standards and practices within the classroom, identify and communicate improvements to working practices to ensure the highest standards are achieved. You will assist with inventory of equipment and stock control in order to maintain a supply of equipment for teaching use.
The Individual:
You are someone who understands the difference a great education can make to pupils lives, as you are a great role model for not only them but other members of staff too. You are ideally educated to degree level or above and preferably have previous experience of working in a school environment. You enjoy being part of a great team and you have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.
