Post Title: Science Technician
Salary: £19,000 - £22,000 Full Time Equivalent
£8,789 - £10,177 (actual salary)
Hours: 0.5FTE 8am – 4pm, 2.5 days per week
Contract: Term time 3 weeks
Responsible to: Head of Science
Salford City Academy is a secondary school with a very high aspirational culture and all our staff provide a vital contribution to our relentless pursuit of providing the highest standards of educational excellence.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Science Technician to coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in the practical needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the department. To ensure that Risk Assessments are routinely produced for all practical activities.
We are rated as a Good provider of education by Ofsted and the Academy is maintaining this significant progress with solid foundations in teaching and learning; aiming to achieve even more highly for the future.
