What skills and experience we're looking for
Science Technician
This role would potentially be suitable for someone with A-levels in science or a relevant degree who is:
- planning on a gap year before university
- a post-graduate
Required as soon as possible, the Governors of this high achieving, oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy seek to appoint a Science Technician to co-ordinate the use of practical resources to meet the needs of the Science Department and maintaining a safe working environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance of all resources, chemicals and equipment requirements for the laboratories, preparation room and the science work room.
Applicants need to have a scientific background and experience of multi-tasking, problem solving and implementing and monitoring Health and Safety checks. You will have good knowledge of health and safety regulations and working practices with the willingness and ability to work with young people. You will have effective and efficient organisational skills, be able to work as part of a team and use your own initiative. Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential.

Salary £23,114 - £23,893 FTE (Actual Salary £18,764 - £19,396 per annum)
