What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you passionate about Science and want to be part of something unique? Then this is the role for you!

Working 37 hours a week, term time plus 5 days, the role of Science Technician at McAuley involves providing support for science lessons across all the age ranges. With a strong focus on Health and Safety you will be working with an experienced and vibrant team of teachers and technicians, assisting in the operation and maintenance of the science labs whilst supporting in lessons where required. Applications are welcome from candidates with previous experience or graduates with a background in science as full training will be given.

We are a Catholic Voluntary Academy catering for approximately 1,700 students in the 11-18 age range. The school exists to serve the Roman Catholic community within a wide catchment area, based largely on the Doncaster Roman Catholic Deanery, in the Diocese of Hallam. We are a split-site school, and comprises of one on Acacia Road and another 200 metres away on Cantley Road which also includes the 6th Form Centre. There is movement between sites to enable students to access specialist facilities and rooms that are appropriate to the sizes of teaching groups. Despite its split-site nature, the school functions as an integrated unit and we are proud to retain our identity as one school community.

We are a Catholic school committed to providing distinctive and supportive education for children and families from all social and religious backgrounds and our community is made up of professionals of the same with a strong commitment to live and support our ethos.
