Science Technician
The Stockwood Park Academy are currently recruiting for a Science Technician to join our innovative Science Department.
Science is a subject where you can really captivate students' attention with various exciting experiments and interactive lessons. We have fantastic facilities dedicated to Science with modern, fully equipped labs and we are looking to appoint someone who will ensure the provision of high quality and timely services to support the delivery of the science curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Key Duties
Provide and prepare all equipment, chemicals and specimens for practical sessions and examinations.
Advise and support teaching staff in the safe and proper use of equipment and contribute to demonstrations as required.
Under the direction of the Senior Technician, carry out minor repairs to equipment.
Contribute to the maintenance of the laboratories and equipment in a clean, safe and tidy condition at all times
The successful candidate will have
Some experience in the care and/or education of children. Experience preferred but training can be provided for right person if they do not have relevant experience.

Start date: Asap or September 2024
Salary: NJC L3 pt.6-8 £23,893 to £24,702 FTE Pro Rata £20,676 to £21,376
Contract: Full time, permanent, term time + 5 inset days, 37hrs per week,
Monday – Thursday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm
