Location: Putney, Southwest London

Salary: Ark Main 1 to Upper 3 (Inner London) £37,667 - £57,313 depending on experience

TLR: 2b £5,350

Working pattern: Full time

Contract: Permanent

 

We are seeking to appoint a Second in Charge of English to support the head of department.  You will plan and deliver challenging and engaging English lessons that instill a passion for learning in all students. 

 

About the role:

  • Strategically lead English at KS3, ensuring that the department is sufficiently supported in their planning and delivery of our English schemes of learning.
  • Support the head of department in the tracking and monitoring of data, identifying students requiring additional support and managing interventions.
  • Help to maintain/establish discipline across the whole academy.
  • Contribute to the effective working of the academy.

You will:

  • Have had significant impact on student attainment.
  • Be able to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
  • Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of students.
