We are seeking to appoint a Second in Charge of English to support the head of department. You will plan and deliver challenging and engaging English lessons that instill a passion for learning in all students.
About the role:
- Strategically lead English at KS3, ensuring that the department is sufficiently supported in their planning and delivery of our English schemes of learning.
- Support the head of department in the tracking and monitoring of data, identifying students requiring additional support and managing interventions.
- Help to maintain/establish discipline across the whole academy.
- Contribute to the effective working of the academy.
You will:
- Have had significant impact on student attainment.
- Be able to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
- Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of students.
- Be committed to Ark Putney’s ethos of high expectations.
