We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, energetic, dynamic and ambitious Second in Department - Maths from April 2020 or earlier by negotiation to support the Head of Maths in raising standards through the development of teaching and learning within the Maths Department and share our commitment to raising standards, expectations and instilling a passion for learning for all.

The candidate will be an outstanding teacher with the drive and capacity to really thrive in this role and make a significant difference and is able to bring ideas, energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to securing strong progress and raising achievement of all students.

Essential educational requirements

First Degree or equivalent in Mathematics
Qualified Teacher Status

Proven record of teaching, which consistently adds value at all Key Stages
An interest in working with Feeder Primary Schools
Evidence of successful organisation and administration
Effective and efficient use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning
Effective and efficient use of data to improve learning
Meeting the needs of Students with SEN including the Gifted and Talented
Involvement in the planning and delivery of extracurricular/enrichment activities
Knowledge and understanding of Mathematics
Strong classroom practitioner
Ability to inspire Students and enthuse Staff
Ability to establish constructive working relationships with Staff, Students and Parents
Knowledge and effective use of ICT for administration purposes
Ability to meet deadlines
