What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a well-qualified ambitious and enthusiastic Humanities teacher who would be able to have the responsibility as Second in the RE department. We are looking to recruit a teacher who can support the highly successful Broadway RE department. You will have KS4 and KS5 experience and be able to support, guide and prepare our students for the 2023 exams. The successful candidate will be someone who wants to grow in a supportive and dynamic environment. If you want to play a role in the ongoing development and growth of Humanities department and support recruitment into Broadway’s successful Sixth Form, then this is your opportunity. You will bring energy, positivity and support to the vision of the Humanities department that every child deserves an excellent education.
You will have
- Qualified teacher status
- The ability to teach RE at KS3 and KS4 and want the opportunity to teach at KS5
- The ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results
- Excellent organisational and ICT skills
- An awareness of effective assessment and use of data to track student progress
- The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A passion for the subject and the ability to share this with young people.
- Commitment to supporting extra and co-curricular activities
The Department
You will be joining a supportive and dedicated Humanities team who passionately believe that every child should “enjoy and achieve” in school. The department consists of RE, History and Geography at key stages 3 and 4, and RE, Criminology, Law, Psychology and Sociology in the sixth form. As well as striving for academic excellence in school, the department runs a wide range of co-curricular trips to enhance understanding of individual subjects, as well as to improve pupils’ life experiences.
