Job summary
The Governors of St Anne’s seek to appoint a committed Christian to this role. Applications are welcomed from practising members of non-Catholic denominations who will be in sympathy with and able to lead aspects of the traditions of the school. The enthusiastic colleague will help to lead a highly successful, supportive department who teach Religious Studies from Year 7 to Year 13. The department also leads PSHE and the Chaplaincy within in the school. The successful candidate will lead in some of the significant areas of the department’s work.
Religious Education is a core subject in St Anne’s and girls enjoy a wide variety of experiences in their learning. GCSE results are consistently well above national rates. At A level, we are regularly in the top few percent of schools. It is an exciting team to be part of.
The department is well resourced. All staff are committed to developing the girls’ journey of faith and encouraging the students in their academic study of the subject.
