What skills and experience we're looking for
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic teacher of science who is ready to make that next step. This role has a recruitment allowance of an extra £250 per calendar month until 31 August 2025.
You will join the leadership team of an improving department. Foremost we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of science. You will have good subject knowledge, a passion for Science, and want students to love Science as much as we do. As a member of the Outwood Family you will share our vision of “Students First”.
Outwood Academy Ormesby is an improving school at the heart of the community. The department consists of six teachers and a Science technician. The department benefits from four science labs and two specialist classrooms, a specialist science technician and a science 121 tutor.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) are proud to be a part of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) hosting its North and East campus as Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Adwick. The NIoT identifies best practice in education, in order to develop cutting-edge, evidence-based teacher training and professional development programmes. OGAT colleagues will benefit from the work of the institute, which draws on the expertise of some of the most outstanding school leaders in education today. You will also be supported by an OGAT director of science who provides bespoke CPD, coaching and mentoring to all colleagues.

Levelling up payment: £2000-3000 per annum until 31 August 2025 for chemistry and physics teachers (Application required - more information can be foundhere)
OR
