Second in Science job summary
Due to the current post holder securing the post of Head of Science in
another school, we are looking to recruit an ambitious, enthusiastic, and
talented, Second in Science.
We are looking for an inspirational teacher who is passionate about
their subject and keen to impart their knowledge, skill and understanding to
all our students. The post holder will
teach across the range of Key Stage Three and Four and will take on a number of
department responsibilities as directed by the Head of Department.
The Science department is led by a truly dedicated Head of Department
who has great ambition for subject at Oakbank and is looking for a talented
Second in Department to help his vision become a reality.
Oakbank school is a thriving school and, although is smaller than many
secondary schools, offers a wide range of CPD, training and development
opportunities to our staff. This role
would suit an experienced teacher of Science who is looking to take their first
step into middle leadership.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a successful department that have
achieved strong results at GCSE results within the school.
The school is located in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of
Reading and is in easy reach of the East and West M4 corridor via junction 11
and the A33 South to Basingstoke.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and have qualified
teacher status.
