This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, driven professionals to join our Family of Schools, Outwood AcademyAdwick. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Second in Science, with a TLR 2.2 to support the Head of Department. This is an excellent opportunity to lead on identified roles within the department.

The department has made huge strides, whereby they achieved record results in 2021-22 with a Science progress score of+0.2. Attainment at 44+ and 55+ are the highest they have ever been, whilst our Separate Science students achieved 100% 444+ and 95% 555+, again the highest results in the Academy’s history. Furthermore our Post-16 numbers have seen record numbers within our A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics options and Vocational courses (BTEC Forensics Science, BTEC Applied Human Biology and WJEC Medical Science).Exciting in 2023 we will embark on a T-Level route in Heath. We are looking forward to the opportunity in developing this pathway for our students. Hence thisis a critical appointment for the Academy and is an exciting opportunity for you to move your career onto the next stage.
