Secretary job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Secretary to join our successful and happy staff team commencing in September 2022.
We are looking for someone who will:
• Provide a warm and professional welcome to visitors, parents/carers and deal with their enquiries
• Thrive within a busy school environment and have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
• Maintain and respect confidentiality of data
• Confidently use various IT applications in order to maintain school pupil/staff databases and complete statistical returns
• Carry out the administration of school meals and school trips
• Administer medicine to pupils and carry out first aid when required
• Arrange cover for staff and input payroll variances and staff absences
• Work well as part of a team but can also work on their own initiative
• Be flexible and organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
• Manage the work of contractors relating to the school building and grounds
• Understand the importance of safeguarding in all aspects of school life
• Be committed to their own professional development
