SEMH and Inclusion Coach job summary

This is a new role created to provide specific support for students identified as having SEMH/ADHD/ASD needs. As a specialist member of support staff, you will be responsible for promoting de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation through the development of trusting, positive relationships. The post-holder will work with staff, pupils and parents/carers to develop an understanding of the needs of the children and how best to support individuals.

In order to be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a relevant professional qualification.
  • Have experience of working with children who become dysregulated and have difficulty following the routines and expectations of school.
  • Be able to connect and relate to young people.
  • Be able to use your initiative to remove barriers to learning.
