What skills and experience we're looking for

City Academy Norwich seeks aspiring and experienced professionals with to be part of our SEND Team. The team play a key role in supporting “Every Teacher as a Teacher of SEND”, facilitating SEND provision within the school and providing learners with highly personalised support to ensure success in all aspects of development.

Our SEMH Nurture Learning Support Assistant will be mainly providing support based within the SEMH Nurture Classroom but will be deployed in a variety of ways including delivering in-class support, small group or 1-2-1 interventions.

Applications from aspiring teachers or those considering working within the education, health or social care sectors in the future are also welcome.

Applications from individuals with a keen interest in SEMH needs and/or Psychology are also welcome.

  • To provide adaptive & personalised learning provision for students with a wide variety of SEMH needs in the SEMH Nurture Classroom
  • To liaise effectively with all colleagues, students, families and professionals
  • To be a positive role model for all students by promoting the school’s values and ambitions for all
  • To provide a safe and caring environment in which students can flourish
