SEMH pathway Teaching Assistant 2 - Behaviour Support job summary
In particular, successful applicants should ideally have
- An understanding of children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures
- An understanding of positive behaviour strategies
You should have:
- Experience of working with children in the primary age range
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents and other staff
- The ability to relate in a friendly way with a wide range of personalities
- The ability to use initiative
- Be willing to undertake direction and guidance
- Have a good understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
- Be able to work as part of a team
We provide a comprehensive induction and training programme. We do not require formal qualifications; however applicants must have good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
