SEMH pathway Teaching Assistant 2 - Behaviour Support job summary

In particular, successful applicants should ideally have

  • An understanding of children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures
  • An understanding of positive behaviour strategies

You should have:

  • Experience of working with children in the primary age range
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents and other staff
  • The ability to relate in a friendly way with a wide range of personalities
  • The ability to use initiative
  • Be willing to undertake direction and guidance
  • Have a good understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
  • Be able to work as part of a team

We provide a comprehensive induction and training programme. We do not require formal qualifications; however applicants must have good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
