SEMH Teacher job summary
We are looking for a teacher who is committed and passionate about children with SEND to work in our newly opened SEMH provision - Branches. We currently have nine children attending Branches, from Y3 to Y6, and although the provision was opened as SEMH, in reality the children have a range of learning needs.
We have high ambition for the children across all areas - academic achievements and social and emotional resilience. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning a highly engaging, adaptive curriculum, which ensures needs are met and pupils are able to thrive and make progress. (Planning for all year groups is in place and can be used and adapted.)
The provision is staffed with a full time teacher (vacancy), a full-time HLTA and two teaching assistants. You will also be supported by the SENCo who is one of Brooke's Assistant Headteachers. As the day to day teacher, you will be responsible for the deployment of staff and timetabling which is best suited to the cohort.
As a school, we are proud of our culture and ethos, which we have achieved through high expectations, honesty and strong teamwork. We recognise that different pupils need different pathways to ensure they thrive and can see themselves as successful. We want our provision pupils to access mainstream lessons where appropriate. We can offer a team of supportive colleagues and a very involved SLT, who are all passionate about SEND.
If you are interested in the post, please come and visit or call to speak with us.

You will
- Be a strong classroom practitioner
- Motivate and develop the children in your care
- Be passionate about seeing young people succeed
We can offer you:
- A supportive working environment.
- A commitment to professional development.
- An opportunity to work with a dynamic team within the school, and wider within the trust.
