SEN Assistant job summary
Bideford College are looking for a calm, approachable and organised person to become part of our school community as a SEN Assistant.
The main purpose of the job is:
• To oversee the administrative duties for individual needs including organisation and preparation for Annual Reviews.
• To support SENDCo in applying for EHCP’s and managing consults.
• To oversee the supervision of 6th form students with an EHCP and ensure all needs are met.
• To support parents of students with individual needs to ensure they are clear on the support offered.
Job Title: SEN Assistant
Hours: Part time, 30 hours a week, start and finish times negotiable.
Weeks per year: 38 (term time only)
Grade/Salary: C1-C5, £9.59-£10.87, £18,500 - £20,980 (actual salary £12,407.37 - £14,070.63
