About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to provide 1:1 support for an individual student in Upper Key Stage 2. This part-time, 5hrs/week, term time only position involves delivering tailored lessons to meet the specific learning needs of the student, with a focus on utilising assistive technology or other IT resources to enhance learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver 1:1 lessons for an Upper KS2 student
- Adapt lessons and materials to the student's individual learning needs
- Incorporate assistive technology to support learning and engagement
- Monitor and track the student’s progress
- Maintain clear and open communication with the student’s class teacher, support staff and parents
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified teacher with experience in SEN
- Strong understanding and experience with assistive technology or high IT proficiency
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to individual needs
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
