SEN Teacher job summary

Please note that interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis with the view of a successful appointment being made before 31st May 2022. About the role: Langley Park Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a SEN Teacher to support our students who are part of our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). They will be an essential part of an exemplary team consisting of the SENCO, lead teacher and support staff. The role will require experience of working with children with autism within a specialist environment either an SRP or a special school. The successful candidate will work closely with individual or small groups of children across all phases as well as supporting children within the mainstream classrooms to fulfil their outcomes. They will liaise closely with mainstream staff in order to ensure the children’s needs are being met and appropriate provision is in place. This is a fantastic time to join us; the Academy has gone from strength to strength and to continue that development, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our team. Working for Langley Park Primary Academy: Langley Park Primary Academy opened in September 2016 and is the hub of a brand new community in Maidstone. We believe in – and celebrate – achievement and success in all areas of the curriculum. We want our children to learn within a culture of curiosity, enjoyment and positive approaches to new experiences and skills to enable them to become successful learners. From September 2018, we expanded into Year 4. In September 2019, we increased again as this year group moved into Year 5 – a very exciting year ahead as we will then be at capacity.
