SEN Teacher job summary

About the role: Langley Park Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a SEN Teacher to support our students who are part of our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). They will be an essential part of an exemplary team consisting of the SENCO, lead teacher and support staff. The role will require experience of working with children with autism within a specialist environment either an SRP or a special school. The successful candidate will work closely with individual or small groups of children across all phases as well as supporting children within the mainstream classrooms to fulfil their outcomes. They will liaise closely with mainstream staff in order to ensure the children’s needs are being met and appropriate provision is in place.

We are looking for someone who:

Is a graduate with QTS and/or PGCE
Has evidence of outstanding practice as a classroom teacher
Has high levels of success in teaching in the primary sector
Has the highest expectations of pupils and themselves
Is enthusiastic, imaginative and forward thinking
Has the ability to inspire, motivate and engage children to achieve and succeed
Is able to form positive relationships with children, staff, parents and governors
Possesses excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Working for Langley Park Primary Academy: Langley Park Primary Academy opened in September 2016 and is the hub of a brand new community in Maidstone. We believe in – and celebrate – achievement and success in all areas of the curriculum.
