SEN Teaching Assistant 2 - Behaviour Support job summary
The purpose of the role is to support our Pathway leader to deliver and implement strategies for pupils who require a bespoke, individual curriculum that supports their communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation.
This may involve teaching of individual/groups of children, the creation of and maintenance of resources, the development of learning spaces. The role will include supporting pupils in our behaviour provisions, in classrooms and around the school.
All candidates must be willing to support our pupils in crisis and undergo a 12hr Team Teach course to learn and then implement when necessary restrictive physical interventions.
As part of the interview process, successful candidates will be asked to create a resource, or bring a previously made resource, that was created to support the emotional regulation need of a pupil.
You will be asked to present this and discuss how the resource could or did meet the needs of that particular pupil.
Salary: starting from £17,308
Hours per week: 31.25, Term time only
Hours of Work 8.45am - 3.30pm
