What skills and experience we're looking for

The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant. Candidates should be flexible and have an interest in working with learners with a range of complex special educational needs.

Applicants will ideally have experience and understanding of special educational needs, autistic spectrum disorder and safeguarding. You should be highly motivated, have a flexible approach to work, have excellent teamwork skills and a keen interest in their own professional development. This role may include supporting vocational learning, such as construction, painting and decorating and woodwork. We would welcome applicants with experience in this field.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate a commitment to working with children, their families and the school.

We have a range of specialist facilities on site including gardens, greenhouse, woods with a bike trail, a go-kart track, mechanics and construction workshops, science lab, food technology room, sensory room, purpose built Sixth Form and residential units.
