What skills and experience we're looking for
We
are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant on a Fixed Term Contract to join our team
at New Horizon’s Children’s Academy. The successful candidate will
provide 1:1 learning support under the guidance of the SENCo in all curriculum
areas, together with supporting the class teacher in teaching and welfare in
accordance with the pupils’ Education, Health and Care Plans or additional educational
needs.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will be able to maximise opportunities to develop learning and, providing positive behaviour patterns, raising self-esteem and developing independent thought and working strategies.
There will also be a requirement to support at break and lunchtime and to administer First Aid, subject to appropriate training.
