What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic person for KS1 for 30 hours per week.
Candidates will need to:
- be familiar with the KS1 curriculum
- support a child with an Educational Health Care Plan
- deliver intervention programmes
- demonstrate good behaviour strategies
- be patient and confident
- have good communication skills
- have good record keeping skills
- work as part of a team

This post will involve working closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO, as well as other professionals, delivering personalised programmes and liaising regularly with parents.

Further details about the role
It is desirable that the successful candidate will be able to or have:
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Good Maths/English skills
- NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience
- First aid training/training as appropriate
- Effective use of ICT to support learning
- Use other equipment technology – iPad, photocopier, computer
- Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
- General understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies
- Basic understanding of child development and learning
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
