SEN Teaching Assistant Level 2
Monday to Friday 8.15am – 3.30pm - TTO: 39 weeks per year (NB: We are currently unable to negotiate timings)
Grade D (£22,777 - £24,054 pro rata) Start date: ASAP
SMSG are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant dedicated to supporting access to learning for pupils with specific special educational needs. You will also provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils, both in and out of the classroom. This position will primarily be based in our early years setting at our site in Galley Hill.
You will need to be passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs. You will need to be patient and committed to building strong, positive relationships with vulnerable children.
You will have a genuine love of children, an ability to use your own initiative and high expectations in order to help children reach their full potential.
We are looking for an experienced TA who may already be supporting children with high needs. An understanding of the principles of Intensive Interaction and how to best work with children with social communication and interaction difficulties is desirable.
