SEN Teaching Assistant / Play Leader job summary
We are looking for a Level 1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with EHCPs who:
- Hold NVQ3 Teaching and Learning qualification or equivalent
- Has experience of working with children with learning, speech and language and communication difficulties.
- Ideally has experience of supporting children with ASD
- Promotes inclusive practice through quality first teaching.
- Has initiative, enthusiasm and can demonstrate commitment to making a difference
- Supports learning for individual, groups and classes of children
- Delivers targeted interventions and support
- Is confident in behaviour management strategies
- Is well organised and remains calm under pressure
- Demonstrates good ICT skills
- Is a Team player
- Takes a proactive role in the wider life of the school
- Completes evaluations for learning, assessments & interventions
- Can supervise playtime/lunchtime activities
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Experience of working with children with SEN
- Excellent behaviour management strategies
- Excellent knowledge of child development, EYFS & KS1 curriculum
- Excellent communication and confident with ICT
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Ability to work closely with the Class Teachers and Inclusion Team
