SEN Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic teaching assistant to support teaching staff within Salway Ash Primary School. This post is a fixed term appointment dependent on pupil specific SEN funding. Our school is a friendly and inclusive rural school at the centre of a village community.
The successful candidate will support the class teacher by:
leading learning sequences to individuals and groups of pupils under the direction of the teacher, including those with SEND needs (initially in our Early Years class)
Supporting effectively specific children with communication difficulties.
Delivering intervention programmes to develop cores skills of literacy including communication and numeracy.
Supporting children who have complex needs including their personal care

The successful candidate will:
Have recent and relevant experience.
Have the knowledge and understanding to ensure children including disadvantaged and ---SEND pupils make good progress.
Be able to relate effectively with learners and adults.
