SEN Teaching Assistant job summary
West Row Academy has an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant (permanent) to work and support SEN pupils within the classroom, delivering specific curriculum. The Academy are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate with a ‘can do’ approach.
30 hours per week 39 weeks per year (Term time plus 1 week)
£12,887 - £13,145 per annum pro rated
Closing date Friday 08 July Noon

Role Purpose
This role requires the successful candidate to undertake care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with special education needs.
We are looking for someone positive, passionate, caring and enthusiastic and who can engage with children and inspire and motivate them to be the best they can be.
There is a need to promote independent learning skills and behaviours for learning.
Skills & Experience
Level two qualification in both English and Maths, or equivalent experience are essential.
A Teaching Assistant qualification would be a distinct advantage or prepared to work towards.
Experience in SEN would you also be a distincy advantage.
Experience in working in an education setting, classroom management and working with children of a relevant age is essential.

Our school is located in the village of West Row just outside Mildenhall where community lies at the heart. The school has a special standing within the village's history which is promoted through our curriculum, ethos and values.
Our school caters for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old and has much on offer for all who attend. Our grounds are beautiful. As well as a large playground we have an exceptional playing field, outdoor classroom, gardening area, kitchen and even a library bus.
Our pastoral support team is first-rate. Our excellent teachers and support staff take the time to know the children inside and out.
