SENCO job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient SENCO. The successful candidate will be an ambitious professional who will be dedicated to add value to our school through promoting academic achievement and learning success in and beyond the classroom. The successful candidate does not necessarily have to currently hold a SEN qualification, but should have experience of leading SEN and, ideally, interventions.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent teacher with a proven track record of raising standards. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to work in partnership with staff, parents, external agencies and governors. The candidate will be accountable for promoting inclusion and will ensure the progress and development of all pupils with SEND in line with the SEN Code of Practice and school policies and procedures.
The successful candidate, who will report to our SLT, will play a key role in the development of the school. The position is either full time or for a minimum of three full days, with teaching commitment to be discussed at interview
