We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a committed and visionary individual to really make a difference within our school.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant SENCO, Learning Support Assistants, staff, pupils and parents, this position involves leading our SEN provision and development across the school, including:

  • Forming strategies for improvement and create, implement, and monitoring an improvement plan
  • Managing and deploying our team of Learning Support Assistants
  • Assessing and identifying children and young people with learning or behavioural difficulties and/or disabilities
  • Delivering high quality lessons
  • Providing INSET to colleagues
  • Promoting SEN awareness throughout the School

Ideally, the successful candidate will already hold the ‘National Award for SEN Co-ordination’ or equivalent, however this is not essential as training will be provided for the right person.

Our people are at the heart of our success and in return we can offer:

  • An exciting opportunity to work with an outstanding and supportive team
  • Excellent CPD opportunities
  • Entry into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme
  • Genuine commitment to employee health and wellbeing, including a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate an empathy for, and understanding of, the Catholic Christian ethos of the school.

If you have any questions or would like to visit the school, please contact David Edmed, Deputy Headteacher via email dedmed@bgn.oxon.sch.uk or via phone on 01295 264216
