SENCO job summary

Green Meadow Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed SENCO to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school fulfils its statutory responsibilities for pupils with Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Implement and monitor provision to improve progress for pupils with SEND relative to their peers.
  • Support and develop staff understanding of SEND needs, enabling confident and inclusive teaching.
  • Consult and collaborate with staff, parents, external agencies, and other schools to coordinate support and ensure continuity of provision.
  • Act as a proactive member of the school’s leadership team.
