SENCO job summary

You will join the school at an exciting time as we prepare for the development of a brand new school opening in January 2026. You will also be joining the school as we celebrate a progress score of +0.51 (2023) and will join a staff body who support the school motto “We are all made for greatness.”

The ideal candidate will:


Ensure that the responsibilities of the role are carried out in a way that reflects the vision and values of the MAC.

Be aware of and observe all policies, procedures, working practices and regulations, and in particular, to comply with policies relating to Child Protection, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Confidentiality,

Data Protection and Financial Regulations, reporting any concerns to an appropriate person.

Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Comply with all reasonable management requests.

Lead the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking.

Policies, assessment and teaching and learning strategies in the department.
