We are an ‘Outstanding’ 11-19 school and we are very proud of our achievements: ‘Students achieve exceptionally well in this outstanding academy. They make rapid and sustained progress’ (Ofsted, 2013). We have an ethos based around the ideas of Achievement, Respect and Transformation (ART). Respect for self, for others and for learning is at the core of everything we do.

The candidate will have a clear vision about how to remove barriers to learning and will have a forensic approach to securing the best possible outcomes for our SEND students, working in close partnership with parents and families.
The successful candidate will be a champion and advocate for students with SEND, who is a strong ‘team player’ and has a strategic, solution–focussed approach, promoting inclusivity at all levels. They will have a thorough knowledge of best practice and should either have the SENDCO qualification or be in the process of securing this. We are looking for an individual with high aspirations to progress in their professional career.
Batley Girls’ High School is a key partner in a highly successful Multi Academy Trust and we anticipate further growth and expansion within our local family of schools. High quality SEND provision is a key priority for the Trust.
