SENCo job summary
The SENCo will lead a team of teaching staff and support staff across both SEN and EAL principles and will be responsible for the support of student learning and achievement of students within these areas. They will play a key role in the professional development of mainstream staff to ensure that the needs of these students are well met and that the differences between SEND and EAL provision are clearly understood by all. They will ensure that the support staff are effectively utilised by mainstream teachers and will also ensure that liaison with external agencies and KS2/KS5 providers gets the best possible outcomes for all concerned.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base and passion for championing special educational need; someone who strives to improve the outcomes and opportunities of SEND and EAL students.
You will already be an enthusiastic and dynamic classroom teacher who can create an environment that will inspire, motivate and challenge students; we will provide state-of-the-art resources to enable you to achieve this here at Moat Community College.
