We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open in September 2020. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. SENCO (part-time) job summary
About the role: High Halstow Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a talented and passionate SENCO who will join us after the Easter break in 2019. This is a rare part-time opportunity (3 days per week). Reporting to the Principal, you will be responsible for fostering the academic, social, aesthetic, physical and moral development of the students in the academy. This includes the implementation of academy policies; to be aware of and promote at all times the academy ethos, vision, policies and procedures. You will need to be a master of all trades, able to work with and interpret data, to think whole-school and strategically to match needs with suitable interventions and to complete the paperwork efficiently. Within your SEN toolkit you will be able to lead and support classroom teachers to facilitate and promote the SEN agenda.
There will be an expectation, at times, for you to teach both classes and intervention groups. We know our staff within our schools work hard and we will recognise this wherever possible. For all staff we take professional development seriously and have created career pathways to help you map out your career aspirations. Additionally, we provide an array of professional development programmes for our staff supported by the MTSA.
What you think you know about us may be different to the experience, so we invite you to visit our academy and see for yourself... Come and absorb the atmosphere, see the interactions between staff and pupils and take in the experience that we can offer. Come and talk to the people who truly understand what it means to be part of this vibrant and exciting community dedicated to educating the children in our care. If you wish to discuss any aspect of this vacancy or arrange a visit to the academy, please contact Mrs Hoad, HR Assistant on 01634 251443 / hr@wtrust.co.uk
