SENCO Personal Assistant
Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a SENCO Personal Assistant on a fixed term contract, based at Aloeric Primary School.
Hours: 12 hours per week,Monday to Tuesday, 8.45am to 3.15pm (with 30min lunch break) , working 38 weeks per year (term time only, excluding TD Days).
Salary: D4-D6, £23,114 to £23,893 pro rata per annum, dependent on experience, pay award pending (actual salary will be £6283-£6494 per annum).

End date: 24th July 2025 but this will be reviewed at the end of this academic year.
Aloeric Primary School are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Personal Assistant to support our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). This is a part-time role, requiring availability for 2 days per week (12 hours). The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth running of SEND operations within the school, providing administrative and logistical support to the SENCO and contributing to the overall effectiveness of our SEN provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support:
- Manage the SENCO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and training sessions.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and relevant documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of SEN students, including Individual Education Plans (IEPs), assessment reports, and correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for staff meetings, parent meetings, and external stakeholders.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Act as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and external agencies regarding SEN matters.
- Coordinate communication between the SENCO, teaching staff, parents, and external professionals (e.g., educational psychologists, speech therapists).
- Handle telephone and email inquiries, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Organise and coordinate parent meetings, including scheduling, preparing documents, and arranging follow-up actions.
- Logistical Support:
- Assist in organising and managing SEN resources, including teaching materials and equipment.
- Help arrange training sessions, workshops, and other professional development opportunities for staff.
- Support the SENCO in monitoring and managing SEN budgets and resources.
- Data Management:
- Update and manage SEN databases and tracking systems, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
- Assist in data analysis and reporting related to student progress and SEN provision.
- General Duties:
- Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Undertake any other duties as required to support the SENCO and the wider school team.
The jobholder must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual Safeguard training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguard concerns.
