What skills and experience we're looking for

You will have achieved (NASENCO) or be working towards the SENCO qualification (NPQ for SENCOs) and be a good teacher, able to identify and coach colleagues in their planning and delivery. You will have good knowledge of SEND systems, work well with outside agencies and other SENCOs and have an excellent manner with families, building their confidence and supporting them in getting the very best SEND support for their children.

What the school offers its staff

The Governors of Arbourthorne Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a none class-based SENCO (with TLR2) for our mainstream children. We are able to be flexible and offer this post as part time or full time. You will be working alongside a very experienced SENCO team of two with dedicated SENCO admin support. You will enjoy supporting excellence in inclusion within a committed and highly inclusive team. 43% of our children have SEND and their needs are well met by the whole team. Staff expertise is strong as is partnership working.
