SENCO job summary

Our SENCo will be taking maternity leave from September and we are therefore looking for a SENCo to cover her leave. The successful candidate will continue to develop and enhance the strategic leadership of SEND and inclusion across our vibrant school community.

As a school we recognise the significant workload attached to the position of SENCo and have successfully recruited a Deputy SENCo to start in September. The Department also has a SEND Administration Manager; this role provides important administrative support and is directed by the SENCo.

Our OFSTED inspection (February 2020) confirmed that we continue to be a good school. We are extremely proud that inspectors praised our commitment to inclusion, ‘Most pupils believe that this is an inclusive school. Pupils of all abilities are valued for their individuality.’ Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all learners which was again confirmed by OFSTED, ‘Leaders have constructed a well-designed curriculum. Their work is rooted in a clear moral purpose.’ All students, staff and our wider community contribute to our ethos, culture and core values.

Please note that interviews may take place prior to the closing date by mutual agreement.
