TLR2c/1a (depending on experience)

We wish to appoint an experienced SENCO or an individual who aspires to be a highly effective SENCO. You will be an inspiring leader who is passionate about ensuring high achievement for all and who is able to influence SEND practice. The successful candidate will have a proven record of delivering exceptional results, with a determination to provide effective leadership and management in order to raise student achievement. You will be responsible for raising attainment, ensuring that the students with SEND are making sustainable progress and working directly with the SEND team to develop strong learning programmes to work towards individual targets.

We are looking for a colleague who:

  • Can strategically lead and further improve provision for learners with SEND across all Key Stages

  • Has the leadership experience, vision and motivation necessary to drive forward school improvement

  • Has the required knowledge, skills and experience to lead in supporting, developing and raising the ambition of key groups of students

  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to inspire and motivate all members of our school community

  • Has a view of education that promotes all aspects of a young person’s development

  • Has a passion for the development of SEND both within our school and the wider community
