What skills and experience we're looking for

The General Purpose of the Job is to:

  • To report to the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the development and implementation of the strategic and operational SEN plans, projects and objectives.
  • To have lead accountability for SEN policies and practices which reflect the school’s commitment to high achievement for children and young adults with complex needs including learning difficulties and disabilities, social emotional and mental health needs and challenging behaviour.
  • The post holder will promote the ethos and values of the school and become a valued member of, and contributor to, the whole school community.

St Dominic’s School is a special academy in Surrey and provides outstanding education for pupils and students aged 7-19 typically with a primary diagnosis of Speech Language & Communication Needs and/or Autistic Spectrum Condition. At St Dominic’s we believe passionately in a multi-disciplinary, ‘needs led’ approach to meeting each child’s and young person’s needs, resulting in carefully managed groupings, including specialist intervention work from our in house therapeutic team.
