SENCO job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-qualified and dedicated SENCO to join us for January in a supportive and team-orientated School graded as ‘Good’ in all categories. (Ofsted June 2018).
The successful candidate will be someone who can provide strategic leadership of the provision for students with special educational needs across the school in order to ensure that these students make excellent progress to maximise their potential.
You will join a committed, hardworking and friendly department to line manage and lead a team of Learning Support Assistants who work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students. As SENCO you will liaise with the SLT, teaching staff, students, parents/carers and external agencies.
Applications are welcomed from qualified or those who are undergoing training to be a SENCO. The SENCO will need to be able to motivate and enthuse staff and students.
