Join us in creating a positive, nurturing space where every child feels valued and included!
The new Teaching Assistant will have:
- A nurturing and empathetic approach to support children with additional needs, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
- Experience working with children with SEND in a school or care setting, preferably providing 1:1 support.
- The ability to provide intimate care with dignity and respect, including assisting with toileting, changing, and personal hygiene.
- Knowledge of medical care plans and experience (or a willingness to be trained) in administering medication and managing medical needs.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with the child, their family, and school staff, ensuring everyone is aligned in supporting the child's development.
- Patience and resilience when faced with challenging behaviour or emotional situations, using strategies to manage these positively and constructively.
- A proactive and flexible attitude towards the child’s needs, adapting support as required to help them succeed both academically and socially.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and independence, helping the child develop confidence, life skills, and a sense of belonging within the school community.
