What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with additional needs.
  • Assist with intimate care tasks, including toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene, ensuring the dignity and privacy of the student at all times.
  • Support the implementation of an Education and Health Care plan

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

Applicants should have experience working with children in a school environment. It is essential that you hold GCSEs (grades A-C) in both Maths and English, or hold equivalent qualifications in this area.

  • Enthusiasm to work with children with a variety of different personalities and skill levels.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to provide intimate care in a respectful and sensitive manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Able to work under your own initiative.
  • Smartly presented and with excellent time management skills.
