Band D points 5 – 6 £19,002 - £19,348 (pay award pending) Based on full time salary of £21,575 - £21,968 (pay award pending) (plus an additional 1 week of pay if the appointee has 5 years or more continuous service with the Local Authority)

What skills and experience we're looking for

  • We are seeking to appoint a highly professional and efficient administrator to join the SEND / Inclusion team. You will be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries into Inclusion, whilst providing an effective administration service in this confidential environment.

  • Be committed to supporting the aims of the academy.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • A pragmatic ‘can-do’ and flexible approach to tasks with an ability to ensure work is completed to the appropriate standards required.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision at key times and to make simple decisions, in line with agreed procedures/policies e.g. prioritisation of work, appropriate release of sensitive information.

  • Good interpersonal skills - able to deal effectively with a wide range of people at all levels.

  • 5 GCSE’s including English & Maths (or equivalent).

  • Commitment to attend appropriate training and development.

  • Discrete when dealing with sensitive and / or confidential matters.

  • A good standard of literacy/numeracy and a commitment to life-long learning

  • Able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A good sense of humour and perspective.
  • A good team worker
