What skills and experience we're looking for
This post is for the position of a class teacher to join our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). Our ARP is a 4-class provision with a capacity of 36 pupils that is part of our school and sits alongside our two for entry mainstream. Pupils range from Reception to Year 6 ages.
Each ARP class has 9 pupils and has a one teacher and two TA model to support pupils. Every child in the ARP has an EHCP. The main needs consist of ASD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs and Mild Learning Difficulties.
The ARP provides a bespoke curriculum to our pupils with a focus on early reading and teaching the core subjects. Every child has an individual timetable to integrate based on their needs. Pupils also have on site specialist support in the form of speech and language therapists and Occupation therapists who support pupils and families as well as train staff.
This post is potentially for an ARP Class of Rec/KS1 pupils or Lower KS2 pupils.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated ARP teacher to join our dedicated staff and become part of a team that is committed to providing the very best opportunities for all our children.
You will have the skills and passion to motivate and inspire children to learn. You will use formative and summative assessment to inform your teaching of the curriculum. You will believe in the potential of every child and support them to make rapid and sustained progress. You will be part of a school that values inclusion and celebrates diversity.
