What skills and experience we're looking for
An enthusiastic SEND Assistant is
required to work in partnership with the SENDCo, and classroom teachers to
support the progress of students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), in line with
the National Curriculum, Code of Practice and school policies and
procedures. The successful candidate
will be part of a thriving and supportive SEND Team and within the role there
is opportunity to further develop specialist skills with regards to supporting
students who have Speech and Language difficulties, Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia.
Candidates are required to support students with literacy and numeracy and to ensure full access to the National Curriculum by addressing the relevant students’ SEND thereby ensuring that they experience success and learn effectively alongside their peers.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:45-15:30 Term Time Only (various days available)
Salary: Scale 3, Point 5 - £16,626.03 per annum (based on 30 hours p/w)
Progression is based on an annual performance review.
