Whitehouse Primary School opened in September 2016, a new school at the heart of the developing community of Whitehouse, Milton Keynes. As part of our exciting growth and development we are looking to recruit an inspirational and dedicated class teacher to join our family. We welcome applications from qualified or unqualified teachers who feel they would excel in this role.
Our children and young people come from a wide range of backgrounds, and so do our colleagues. We aim to reflect and celebrate diversity in our workplace in order to create an inclusive culture that adds real value to our vision of inspiring the futures of us all through learning together.
We are looking for a qualified or unqualified teacher to lead our Oak provision which is made up of Seedlings Class (EYFS and KS1) and Acorns Class (KS2). Oak provision is an additional provision set up in September 2021 to support children with complex social communication and interaction needs. The two classes are now established; supporting some children full time and some with personalised intervention time which is tailored to their need. We support reintegration where possible to give children every opportunity to flourish. Our curriculum is built around the children’s developmental stage and their functional language skills. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a mainstream school whilst developing a purposeful, sensory rich environment which enables the children to flourish and meet their full potential.
Are you a teacher who is:
invested in advocating for children with complex needs who may find communication challenging?
dedicated to building psitive relationships which allow you to tap into children’s interests and motivations?
eager to lead and motivate a team of specialist TAs?
driven by a passion for making learning inclusive, motivating and challenging at the same time?
committed to inclusive education and raising standards?
excited by the opportunity to further develop a provision which is currently in its infancy?
able to communicate effectively with others, have fun and be part of an amazing team?
competent in the use of visuals, object of references, Attention Autism and TEACH tasks etc?
Capable of using a range of assessments tools such as FACT/FACT+, CATHS and EHCPs to inform next steps?
- knowledgeable and willing to continually broaden their understanding of the Birth to 5 framework alongside an adaptive curriculum?
If your answers to the questions are yes, we would be delighted to hear from you and receive your application.
As part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning Multi Academy Trust, successful candidates will have full access to our staff benefits package, including a bespoke CPD package through MKTSA, discount on gym membership, cinema tickets, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme and much more.
We would advise you to visit our wonderful school. To arrange a visit please contact ccamwell@whitehouseprimary.co.uk
