SEND Educational Support Assistant job summary
We are seeking to recruit a talented individual to join our team of staff to work with children with special educational needs in EYFS. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this challenging role. The individual would be supporting children with autism.
The post is to commence 5 September 2022 and is for a period up to 28 July 2023 in the first instance. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:45 am – 3:15 pm – 28.75 hours per week
Experience of working with children with autism and pre verbal communication skills would be an advantage. The successful applicant must be hard working, organised and, above all, have experience of working with children with SEN. Some of the children have intimate care needs. A knowledge of the Early Years curriculum and phonics is preferable. The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of pupils in school. Particular emphasis will be on working with individual pupils and small groups.
