Clements Primary Academy's motto is ‘flying high, aiming higher’ and we help all children to achieve their potential in learning, sport, music and the arts.
We are a primary academy, part of the Unity Schools Partnership, for children from 3 to 11 years of age situated at the southern edge of Haverhill, Suffolk.
Clements School moved to its beautiful new site in June 2011. It is a light, bright, award winning building that features open-plan activity spaces, a large library and ICT area and a separate food technology room.
Nursery and Reception children learn and play together for some of the school day and are very much part of main-school, wearing our school uniform, joining in assemblies and using all the school facilities.
Our children have access to extensive outdoor spaces including two playing fields, a wet habitat area and a vegetable garden. The oldest children take on additional responsibilities and work with a number of subject specialists, as they prepare for secondary school.
The SEND unit accommodation is in a new building with two bright and airy classrooms, outdoor learning area, toilets, disabled toilets, shared break out space and a meeting room. The unit consists of two classes of a maximum of nine pupils. Each class is staffed by a teacher and a learning support assistant who have experience of working with children with moderate learning difficulties. The unit caters for children who are significantly below their peers in reading, writing and maths.
