The school is pleased to introduce the new role of SEND Intervention Teacher, one which will play a crucial role in the education of our students. This individual will promote the learning and personal development of all students; including but not exclusively, those with special education needs. Working as part of our Inclusion Team, the SEND Intervention Teacher will have a responsibility to provide support in the classroom and work with specific students, across a number of topics, most notably literacy. This post would be suitable for either primary or secondary school specialists.
We require a suitably experienced person to fill this post which contributes to our provision of the highest quality inclusion. You will work with students who cover the four main categories of SEND outlined in the Code of Practice, focusing primarily on supporting students to achieve their personal best. You will be calm, confident, organised and be able to create a positive learning environment. The successful individual will also:
Have full time availability
Be a creative and flexible practitioner
Be a candidate that has high expectations of themselves and others, and is committed to maintaining our high standards
Have the ability to lead and direct colleagues to ensure the needs of students are met effectively
Have the relevant qualifications outline in the job specification.
Have good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students, staff and parents
Have good ICT skills to use a range of programmes and technology to support our students.
Demonstrate effective use of data to monitor the progress levels of the students.
Experience of working within a school environment or with young people
